A valid Florida marriage license is required before I can perform the ceremony.  You can apply for your license in any county in Florida. If you are to be married in the Pensacola area, then marriage licenses can be obtained  Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. at the Clerk of the Circuit Court, Marriage License Division, M. C. Blanchard Judicial Building, Second Floor, Room 23009, 190 Governmental Center, Pensacola, FL 32501. Their phone number is (850) 595-4192. Convenient to Navarre Beach is the South Santa Rosa Service Center on Highway 98.

The license is valid for 60 days. There is no waiting period for non-residents of Florida nor blood tests. Florida residents have a choice of a three day waiting period or attending a four hour pre-marital preparation class.  If both the Bride and the Groom are non-residents of Florida, they CAN be married on the same day the license is issued.

The cost is $93.50 ($61.00 for Florida residents who have completed the pre-marital preparation class) cash or money order. Identification with a photograph (i.e. driver's license or passport) and your Social Security number is required, as well as the date any previous marriages ended. Both the bride and groom need to go to the Court House together. Bring the license to the ceremony so the witnesses (not required) and the officiant can sign it. The license will be mailed back to the Court House so the marriage can be registered with the State of Florida.
Certified copies are available in about two weeks from the County Clerk's office for $2.50 each.
